12 people have been killed in a bomb attack in central Iraq - the latest victims of a surge in violence in the country.
Iraqi government figures show attacks last month claimed 950 lives - most of the victims were civilians.
In today's attack, 25 people were also wounded when a suicide bomber set off a device at a funeral north of Baghdad.
