The winner of Wednesday's 12.7 million euro lotto jackpot has made contact with the National Lottery.
The lucky person bought their quick pick ticket earlier that day in Kilkenny city.
Plans are now underway for the ticket holder to receive their prize.
Tomorrow morning the store that sold the ticket will be revealed.
Wednesday's jackpot is the biggest to be given away in nearly four years.
A National Lottery spokesperson said: "We can confirm that we have been contacted by the lucky Kilkenny ticket holder and the winning ticket has officially been verified which means that arrangements are now being made for the prize to be claimed.
Once the prize has been paid, we hope to share further details of the lucky winner, once they are happy to do so.”
