109 thousand boosters and vaccines were administered yesterday, the second record-breaking day in a row.
106 thousand of those were boosters or third doses for the medically vulnerable.
Test centres are extremely busy with the 21 per cent of tests coming back positive for Covid-19.
The HSE is working on building it's current capacity to perform 250 thousand covid019 tests per week to 285 thousand per week by early January/
Testing will be available throughout the Christmas break, including on Christmas day. Though not all test centres will be open.
HSE CEO Paul Reid says the timeline for the rollout of the booster campaign will be finalised today.
“We will be finalising today… details of the rollout for the rest of the ages.
“We do have around one million in those vulnerable groups, from the 40 years and over, still to do."
