Up to 100 guests will be allowed to attend weddings from August 5th.
Cabinet has approved the increase, which will come as a relief to couples due to get married next month.

A small protest was held in Dublin city this afternoon calling for capacity limits to be doubled.
It saw a handful of protestors gather outside the Department of Health calling for change.
Cabinet signed off on the wedding increase this morning after initially deciding not to proceed with the plans.
Meanwhile, Baptism ceremonies will also be allowed to take place in August.
Taoiseach Micheál Martin says it will be a few more weeks before any other restrictions are eased.
He says government will take stock over the coming weeks to see how the Delta variant behaves.
The Taoiseach says the Cabinet Sub-committee on covid-19 will review the situation throughout next month.
