A quarter of parents of children with asthma say they struggle with the cost of their child's medication.
Today marks World Asthma Day, and the Asthma Society of Ireland report that five per cent of those parents have forgone buying their child's medication because they couldn't afford it.
Almost one in five of those surveyed say they've had to forgo essential items to purchase medication.
Meanwhile, 75 percent of those surveyed say they've experienced anxiety over managing their child's condition.
