Play Irish Artist on Lost in Music
Wallis Bird is back and powerfully back at that. The singer has released this amazing song dedicated to the memory of Alan Kurdi the 3 year old Syrian refugee who drowned in 2015. The song is the first single from her forthcoming album 'Woman' which will be released on September 27th. Louise Duffy is featuring this song as part of our Play Irish on Lost in Music.

This is a song of compassion and hope. A driving, relentless song in defiance of racism, in support of empathy for those who leave their entire lives behind to flee tyrany, prejudice or simply to look for a better life. pic.twitter.com/Lb59eaNhFS— Wallis Bird (@wallisbird) June 14, 2019
Next up Elm with their single FEAR,
Dublin-based four-piece ELM are bringing in a new era of relatable queer pop, sharing their personal experiences as they go along.
Their debut single Fear is an uplifting and dizzying definition of acceptance; an acceptance of who you are and who you love. Produced by MyRiot (London Grammar, Rae Morris, Halsey, Foxes), Fear is a string-fuelled bop. We love it on Lost in Music and are sure you will too and that is why they are our Play Irish Artist of the week.
