Now into it's 8th year the Indiependence Music & Arts Festival has become a staple of the Irish music fans summer diet and the line-up this year has some great acts (and plenty of them home-grown) to catch in the sunshine.
On Friday evening you'll be able to catch one of the rising stars in the Irish music scene Walking on Cars (9pm). They played a superb rendition of their single 'Catch Me If You Can' on the Ian Dempsey Breakfast Show a short while ago.
On Saturday afternoon Kapitals take the stage at 2pm and are one of the most promising acts to emerge over the past year with tracks like Paris is Burning and this track Ms Heartache.
Also on Saturday are one of the big Irish bands of 2013 Kodaline (9.15pm). Their debut album In A Perfect World has lots of great tracks, including this one...
Bell X1 (11pm) are the headliners on Saturday night and will be showcasing material from their great new Chop Chop album. They gave this great performance in the Today FM studios a few weeks back...
Sunday evening sees The Original Rudeboys (8pm) take to the main stage and are sure to have the place jumping. Check out this session they recorded on the KC Show recently...
And don't forget that our very own KC will be taking to the decks to keep the party going into the eraly hours from 1am on Saturday night/Sunday morning!
