One of the most influential and creative bands of the last 20 years, BLUR return to Ireland on Thursday 1st of August with their only show in the British Isles this year. With support from Bat for Lashes and The Strypes, each act will take to the stage and play full sets at The Irish Museum of Modern Art, Kilmainham, Dublin.
For those who don’t already have them there are a limited number of tickets available through usual outlets, priced at €62.50 each (including fees).

Doors open at 16:00 with stage times for each of the acts have been announced as:

TRAVEL
1. There will be no parking available at or in the vicinity of the Royal Hospital Kilmainham, please avoid illegal parking. Mobility Impaired: vehicles with a disability badge will be permitted to approach the concerts via Military Road or Bow Lane where they will be directed to the East Gate and from there to the Disabled Car Park. Accessible Sanitary facilities will be provided.
2. Pedestrian access to the concert venue is through the East Gate via Military Road only on South Circular Road.
3. Public Transport:
By Luas: Take Red Line to Heuston Station and it is a 10 minute walk to East Gate entrance via Military Road .Check www.luas.ie timetable,
By Bus: Buses to James St (5 min walk via steps to Bow Lane onto Irwin St and Military Rd): 123 from O’Connell St /Dame St; 51B/78A from Aston Quay.
Taxi: By taxi you will be directed to the East Gate via Military Road, from here it is a 5 minute walk. The West Gate will act as the dedicated emergency route. Emergency services access will be maintained at all times for both resident population and the event.

(Met Eireann) ‘Some showers during Thursday, rain will gradually clear eastwards in the evening and night. Spells of sunshine are possible in the east. It will be a warm and humid day with highest temperatures of 19 to 22 degrees with moderate to fresh southerly breezes.’
As always there will be a vast array of food and beverages on sale, from Wok n’ Roll , to Café Angel, Pulled Pork to Crepes to name but a few.

The Blur 21: The Exhibition which is being exhibited in Ireland for the very first time will open its doors today, Friday the 26th of July, at 12:00. The free exhibition, which will run until show day (1st of August), is an extraordinary collection of over 70 images of Blur from legendary music photographers, designers and artists including Pennie Smith, Kevin Cummins, Paul Postle, Tom Sheehan, Banksy and Julian Opie celebrating the band’s 21 year career.
