- Dexter Holland, lead singer of The Offspring has a Masters in Molecular Biology and was doing a PHD before music stardom. Pretty Fly.
- Lead guitarist with Rage Against The Machine Tom Morello graduated from Harvard University with an honors degree in social studies.
- Gene Simmons from KISS has a PHD in Education!
- And probably the brainiest has to go to former D:REEM member Professor Brian Cox who is a noted Physicist working on the Large Hadron Collider: His First Class thesis is titled: “Double diffraction dissociation at large momentum transfer” and can be viewed online. Wahey!
