This has been quite the year for musical surprises. First we had a brand new album from My Bloody Valentine, then there was... and now The Pixies have released their first new song in over 20 years.
The track, called Bagboy, features Frank Black, David Lovering and Joey Satriani but sadly no Kim Deal who, in an announcement made on the group's Twitter a fortnight ago, is no longer part of the group. The song features Jeremy Dubs of The Bennies on vocals in place of Deal
Deal will be replaced by guitarist and vocalist Kim Shattuck (The Muffs and The Pandoras) for the band's 2013 European tour.
