Mumford & Sons have released the video to new single ‘Hopeless Wanderer’ (dir. by Sam Jones).
Think the ‘band’ look familiar but can’t quite place them?
Well it’s not the Mumford & Sons line up that we know and love in this tongue-in-cheek video but four well known impersonators.
You might recognise them as Jason Bateman (Arrested Development/Juno/The Kingdom), Ed Helms (The Office/The Hangover), Jason Sudeikis (Saturday Night Live/30 Rock) and Will Forte (Saturday Night Live).
Ben Lovett impersonator Ed Helms summed-up the experience explaining, “We had an absolute blast shooting this video and the final product only confirms what I felt going in - thank god we're a fake band.”
Winston Marshall’s stand-in, Jason Bateman, said: “Getting a chance to pretend I’m a rock star was the proudest I’ve been of myself while awake”.
While Mumford & Sons thanked their stand ins: “A massive pair of thumbs-up to Sam Jones for directing and his cast of young budding actors. We’re sure they all have bright futures ahead of them”.
Hopeless Wanderer is released through Gentlemen of the Road/Island Records on the 13th September 2013 and is taken from the band’s multi-million selling second album, Babel.
