Stereophonic’s lead singer Kelly Jones has revealed that he nearly had a coaching role on the UK version of The Voice. "I had a couple of chats with some people and once they asked me back for the third chat I realised they were serious and I bottled it."
Although he turned down a leading role on the show, he’s still a fan of the format: "We're happy as being a band, I mean we watch it on a Saturday night for a laugh but it's not what I really want to do."
The coach’s chair eventually went to Danny O'Donoghue from The Script. Recently, both O'Donoghue and Jessie J have quit the BBC show and Tom Jones has also been rumoured to leave.
