With two songs still floating in the Irish chart Kodaline are riding high on a wave despite some hard reviews for their debut studio album "In a Perfect World".
The catchy feel good "Love like This" is at 29 and the anthemic heartbreaking ballad "High Hopes" is still at 41 after peaking at the top.
Lauren Murphy of The Irish Times said "Kodaline are a bit drab...It sounds like [they] are more focused on ticking boxes in order to appeal to their target audience, than on blazing their own trail by attempting something original".
Ouch.
If you want to make up your own mind Kodaline are playing the Canadian Mainstage at Indie13 this Saturday at 9.15 pm and you can catch Bell X1 immediately after.
