Statement from the band said: "We have enjoyed our time making music together immensely but simply it's now time for us to move on. We would like to thank all our fans, friends, families who have supported us over the years. We also offer a big thank you to all of the artists who we have had the pleasure of sharing stages with and the all of the venues who continue to promote live music."
Fred have announced a number of testimonials around the country in December of this year including Whelan’s, De Barra’s in Clonakilty and Róisín Dubhin in Galway. The final ever Fred show will take place in The Pavilion, Cork on December 28th, where for the first time in Fred history every member of the band - past and present - will share the same stage.
They band have 5 Independent releases under their belts including four LPs. Their 2008 highly acclaimed record 'Go God Go' spawned several poptastic radio hits: Good One, The Lights, Skyscrapers & Running.
Accolades include iTunes Canada 'Top 10 Indie albums’, Canadian iTunes single of the week (Skyscraper), Hot-Press Readers Poll 'Top Ten album Irish albums', and a Meteor nomination.
