The Road Safety Authority has said they are extremely worried about the significant decline in Drink Driving Enforcement by Gardai

RSA Chairperson Liz O’Donnell said there is a real is a real risk of reversing all the hard won gains in road safety.

Latest Garda enforcement figures for 2015 show the number of breath tests carried out on motorists last year was down by 18%.

The month with the lowest number of breath tests was December, which turned out to be the most lethal month with 21 deaths on Irish roads.
