Beyoncé released her sixth album which sees her turn her attention to her marriage for the first time. 'Beyoncé is not a woman to be messed with' says the Guardian’s review.

In the film that accompanies the album which premiered last night on HBO, Beyonce does everything to express her displeasure at her husband’s behaviour.

Lyrics that hint at marriage trouble - “Big homie better grow up”, she adds, a direct allusion to the title that Jay Z gave himself during his guest appearance on her 2003 single Crazy in Love.

“This is your final warning,” she scowls on Don’t Hurt Yourself, “if you try this **** again, you lose your wife.”

Beyonce’s album was launched on Tidal exclusively but from today it’s on iTunes.

Hip hop mogul Jay-Z, who is married to Beyoncé, acquired Tidal for $56 million last year.

Tidal is available in 46 countries and has 40 million songs but can it challenge the likes of iTunes and Spotify?

Louise Bruton, music journalist gives her two cents on the album and Ciara O’Brien, tech journalist with the Irish Times, gives her view on what the future holds for Tidal.
