Kennels are one option – some luxury kennels offer centrally heated accommodation and pipe in classical music to relax the dogs.
And with more and more pet-friendly accommodation available in Ireland many owners are taking their dogs with them.

We also hear from dog behaviourist Jim Stevens who runs Wenden Kennels.
Jim says it’s really the owners that tend to suffer from separation anxiety not the dogs.
