JUST EAT today announced details of the first JUST EAT National Takeaway Awards. The awards are the first in Ireland to recognise the importance of the takeaway restaurant industry to the overall Irish foodservice sector. Categories include Best Takeaway Chipper, Best Takeaway American, Best Takeaway Healthy, Best Takeaway Lunchtime, Best Takeaway Sushi and best takeaway by province. In Ireland we spend more on fast food than 19 European countries, according to market research firm Euromonitor International. In total, we spent €1.44 billion in outlets selling fast food in 2012. Euromonitor predicts this will increase to €1.5 billion by 2017.
