Margaretta spoke to The Last Word following the publication of her new self-published book ‘ Ireland’s Guantanamo Granny’, an account of her life in the peace movement, culminating in her double imprisonment for trespassing on Shannon airport property, during protests over United States military stopovers.
As she puts it in the book, she’s been trying for years to have a “conversation” with the Irish state about Shannon.
