Keith Wood represented Keith represented Ireland at three World Cups, experiencing last-eight elimination twice and one play-off demise when that additional knockout phase was used in 1999. He comes from a rugby family. His father, who was also a hooker, played 21 times for Ireland between 1954-61 and toured with the British Lions to New Zealand in 1959. His three world cups with Ireland came in 1995, 1999, and 2003 but, as you'll here, the disappointment of early exists in those hasn't dampened his optimism about our chances this time out.
