Back in the early 80s US reporter Neil Lundy came to Ireland to do an investigative report on Poteen (or Irish Moonshine as he calls it.)
Thankfully for us, this treasure of a video has resurfaced and people are loving it.
Lundy kicks off his report saying the Irish have been brewing Poteen for hundreds of years informing the audience it is illegal and 'it packs a punch.'
While visiting Galway, Lundy meets the (amazingly named) Poteen Patrol, who are on the hunt for some bootleg poteen. This is reminiscent of those grainy hunting Bigfoot videos!
He also speaks with the locals, who swear that Poteen can cure all ailments.
Translated as, "once you drink it, you'll be so sh*tfaced your ailments will be forgotten!"
Classic stuff.
