Yesterday we featured the story of the Ireland women's football team's poor treatment by the FAI, which included the shocking news that they have had to change in public toilets.
This evening the team will meet with the FAI for talks in an attempt to resolve the matter. We were joined by Ireland international defender Karen Duggan and sports journalist Marie Crowe, who told us more about what they hope to achieve.
Karen explained that the team have been unhappy with their treatment for some time, and having representation is very important to them because a lot of emotion is involved. "We need to be listened to. We want to develop and we need help to do that."
Marie added, "These are really basic issues. All these girls want to do is play football. They want to compete at a better level."
She highlighted the struggles that other women's sports have faced over the years and the improvements that have been made, and stressed that women's football will continue to progress: "It's only going to go forward because of what these girls have done."
"Hopefully now people will think twice before they start treating women in sport like second-class citizens."
