A few days ago, Apple Music, Apple's new music streaming service, announced that it would not pay artists for the first three months of its existence. This didn't go down too well with musicians, particularly Taylor Swift, who denounced Apple's plan as "shocking and disappointing" and refused to allow her latest album 1989 to be streamed on the new service. Today, Apple backed down.
