Taytay versus Kanye - an explainer:
- Kanye West released a song called Famous a few months ago with a line about having sex with swift someday. "I made that bitch famous", he sang gallantly.
- Swift said she was unhappy via a statement and in an acceptance speech at the Grammy Awards alluded to how others will try take credit for your success.
- West tweeted that he had run the line by her and was surprised at her reaction and during a recent GQ interview Kim Kardashian noted her frustration about how her husband is portrayed. Swift was in on the song, she said.
- Swift's PR team refuted this claim again.
- Now, Kim has leaked the footage of Swift on the phone with West in studio where she seems fine with the content of the song. Responding, Swift said the recording proved no such thing.
- Some have pointed out that Swift shared videos of her dancing to a song by Kendrick Lamar with similar references / use of the word bitch and it seems odd she would take issue with this. Others say it's the beginning of anti-women takedown /backlash against Swift.
