The Taoiseach has refused to name the Fine Gael official responsible for arranging John McNulty's appointment to the Seanad.
Enda Kenny's comments come ahead of tonight's meeting with the Fine Gael parliamentarty party, where he's expected to face harsh criticism over his handling of the McNulty affair.
Meanwhile Joan Burton's refused to say whether she's happy with the Taoiseach's account of events.
Fine Gael TD Alan Farrell says he feels deflated and disappointed by his party's handling of the affair.
