Pressure grows on FAI to explain €5million FIFA 'loan'

The FAI is facing mounting pressure over its acceptance of 5 million euro from FIFA.

The payment came after Thierry Henry’s infamous handball knocked Ireland out of the World Cup playoff against France in 2009.

FAI Chief John Delaney says the payment was to prevent the Association from taking legal action, and that it was legitimate and a good deal.
