US President Barack Obama announced a series of tighter gun controls today despite vocal opposition from the gun lobby.
On Tuesday, Obama shed tears as he announced a series of executive actions to combat gun violence in the US.
Some of the measure include increasing background checks on buyers as well as exploring “smart gun technology” which will use fingerprints to prevent accidental gun shots.
However, gun owners say Obama's plans won't do anything to prevent the thousands of people killed by guns every year in the US.
