The economic crisis and the high cost of rent have forced almost half a million Irish people to remain living at home with their parents.

The latest CSO statistics have revealed that 460,000 adults over the age of 18 are living with their parents. Of these, 270,000 are men and 190,000 are women.

Daniel Cahill, Aoife Barry and Fionnuala Moran discuss the circumstances that have led to this and the societal expectation on young adults to stand on their own two feet.
