Linda Gillick from Nenagh in Co. Tipperary is the mother of nine-year-old Maya, who has Down Syndrome.
Maya has various medical issues and is one of many Irish children with Down Syndrome who is facing the difficulties of waiting lists and cuts to services.
Linda said of her daughter, "She's a happy, bright little girl who goes to a mainstream school, but in order to put her in that service she needs a full-time SNA and a lot of resources which aren't there."
Maya has also been on a two-year waiting list for a suitable wheelchair. "We've been told we could be on the list a lot longer than that, but I've been told that she's not a priority."
Pat Clarke, CEO of Down Syndrome Ireland, joined Linda on the show to speak about the difficulties facing children with Down's Syndrome due to cuts to services.
