The medical technology sector in Ireland is recognised as one of the five global emerging hubs.
It employs over 25,000 people across the country.
Ireland is also one of the largest exporters of medical products in Europe with annual exports worth €8 billion going to over 100 countries worldwide.
However, many people are unaware of the way medtech improves healthcare and saves lives - for example many 75% of replacement joints for knees and 80% of the world’s stents are made in Ireland.
