Meet the Quare Fellow is a new play written by Jim & Peter Sheridan, based on the life of Brendan Behan.
Brendan Behan’s work holds particular significance to Jim & Peter. In 1979, Jim played the Young Behan opposite Niall Toibin in Borstal Boy at the Gaiety Theatre.
In 1987, Peter's adaptation of Brian Behan's book, Mother of All the Behans, opened at the Abbey Theatre, starring Rosaleen Linehan.
Meet the Quare Fellow is the first play they have written together after many years collaborating, most notably in the Project Arts Centre during the 1970s.
