Kieran Conway is a solicitor who grew up in Killiney in South County Dublin.
He was educated at Blackrock College and went on to study in UCD and looked likely to pursue a career within the law profession.
However, in the 1970’s, his life took a different course and he ended up as a member of the IRA.
He has written a book ‘Southside Provisional – From Freedom Fighter to the Four Courts’ which details his time as an IRA activist.
In the book, he writes about his participation in bank raids and gun battles and his encounters with leading IRA figures.
