John McCarthy interview honoured..

The Last Word on Today FM scooped the Consumer Broadcast News Award at the GSK Irish Medical Media Awards which took place this evening (Wednesday 24th October 2012).  The team was presented with the award for the consistently high standard of its coverage of health issues and specifically for the last interview with the late John McCarthy, mental health lobbyist who was dying with motor neurone disease.You can listen to the November 2011 interview here.
