Traffic has increased by more than 10 per cent on the past three years as the economy picks up, according to figure from Transport Infrastructure Ireland.
In 2012, average daily traffic on the M50 as recorded by the toll cameras was 110,000; in 2013, it was 112,000; last year it rose to 117,000; and this year it is projected to be 122,000.
