Nigel Ackland visited DIT Bolton Street today to talk about his bionic arm and how it changed his life.
His visit was part of Engineers Week 2017, a nationwide programme celebrating engineering in Ireland.
Nigel suffered an accident at work in 2006, which resulted in an amputation. He struggled with everyday tasks until finally being fitted with his bionic arm. It has had a major impact on his life, both physically and psychologically.
