CiarĂ¡n Byrne tells The Last Word that he got burned during the Celtic Tiger and is still trying to mop up the mess now.
"I bought my apartment in 2005 for €335,000. If I sold it tomorrow I'd be lucky to get €250,000 for it."
"My wife, before we met, bought hers for €299,000. Similar properties are selling now for around €170,000."
He says the logical thing would have been to offload the apartments and buy a house but that in Ireland 2015 it would actually be easier to book a holiday in space.
