Aussie soap Home And Away is a firm favourite with Irish audiences.
The show started all the way back in 1988 and has been a regular in most households ever since.
Even those who don't want to admit it know the words to the theme tune and it's even popped up on some wedding and nightclub playlists.
Reports in the Daily Mirror claim that bosses are rethinking the soaps future.
New reality shows and a decline in ratings are putting the pressure on.
Muireann wanted to know, would any care if it was cancelled?
The response was overwhelming, proving a lot of Irish people are still committed to the guilty pleasure show.
Check out what Ireland had to say:
"Been watching Home and Away since it started! I was away recently so watched 9 episodes back to back last night! I'm 36."
"Alf, Irene and Marylin still in it. Loads of Gavin James music on it. Still watchable. Neighbours is rubbish. Keep Home and Away!"
"Ah Muireann that has ruined my day!!! I have watched it my whole life what will I do?!!!"
"Sadly I still watch, I record it daily and when the two boys are sleep I sit down with a cuppa and I watch it."
"Moc I love Home And Away, we had the theme tune played as part of our wedding! I watch it every day since I was about 5, love it."
"Home and away is still great. I never miss it."
"LOVE, LOVE, LOVE. HOME AND AWAY. Record it everyday and watch it at weekends."
"Home & Away & Neighbours are my 2 guilty pleasures, I series link both & catch up every night after I get my child to bed. My cousin's & I have a WhatsApp group to discuss all the goings on! Tis great craic 😆"
Although not everyone was on the same page:
"Gave up on home and away when Alf stopped “stoning the flaming, crows”
"The quality of acting on home and away is brutal. You would honestly see better at a junior infants school play."
There's good news for fans though as it looks like Lynne McGranger, better known as Irene Roberts on the show, has quashed the rumours.
NO!!! Ok getting shitty now!! To my knowledge this is . Enough already . We are not going anywhere. I turn up to work. People film me. I get paid. Pretty sure that means the show will keep going to air. AND we’re 5-6 months ahead with the filming. Ps https://t.co/v1Z5sfIlEI
