Eimear McBride spent nine years looking for a home for her novel A Girl Is A Half Formed Thing, which- when it was published, cleaned up all the major literary awards (bar the Man Booker) and spawned an award winning, internationally toured theater production.
While she was waiting, she wasn’t twiddling her thumbs; however, rather she was pounding the keyboard, typing out what would become the bones of her second novel The Lesser Bohemians.
