Danny Healy-Rae gives Hot Press bang for buck in their current issue with his comments on gay parents ('not natural'), Noah's Ark (fact not fiction) and drink driving (for which he believes the Gardai should provide licences).
But the elected representative clammed up on Mat Cooper when asked if he possessed the capacity to make a literal bang when the Last Word host asked him if he possessed a licensed fire arm. This was in response to Healy-Rae's claims that he would shoot any intruder who broke into his home.
After initially refusing to answer the question, he offered to give Cooper the scoop at a later date and the interview came to an end soon after.
