The charity sector has been hit by scandals involving excessive CEO salaries.
Fergus Finlay is a senior member of the Irish Labour Party and CEO of children's charity Barnardos. The Irish Times reports that his 2014 salary of €117,511 was in excess of health sector pay rates.
Fergus joined Matt to talk about his work there. He says that his pay has been a matter of public record since the beginning of his work there.
He says that the HSE internal audit on Barnardos used by the Irish Times stated that the charity money is completely accounted for.
