An increasing number of schools are imposed bans on running in the playground in case of injury. Is this a sign that we have become overly protective of our children?

The mother of a child who fell and broke her arm during a game of chase sued her daughter's school for negligence, but the case was dismissed. The judge ruled that schoolyard games of this nature should not be banned, as they are impossible to stop.

Maria Doyle says, "I would hate to see a culture ensue where children are not allowed to be children."
