A complete stranger contacted me on Twitter and offered to go and visit my Mam in #Naashospital. She rang me just now to tell me Mam is fine and brought her some things. Sorry for sobbing like a child on the phone @EmmaHayes25 but you’re my hero #sneachtageddon

If there's been one over-riding thing that has emerged from our recent snowfest is that this country is built on it's communities and it's people.
And this story is testament to that belief.
Aoife is based in Blessington, Co. Wicklow one of the hardest hit areas. Her Mother, who suffers from Parkinson's Disease is in hospital at the moment in Naas.
Because of the Parkinsons, Maura's speech was affected and she had difficulty over the phone.
Aoife put it out on social media that if anyone was in the hospital just to pop and say hello to her Mam.
Up stepped Emma.
Aoife tells Muireann the full story and her Mam's special request!
Aoife and Emma are telling their story on Claire Byrne Live tonight at 10.35pm on RTÉ One.
Here is Aoife's post:
Another tale of the kindness of others - my Dad got a delivery of milk and bread from Mark and Holly in Valleymount today. Can’t help but think all my parents’ kindness to people over the years is coming back to them #sneachtageddon #feelgood pic.twitter.com/HTGmGh2cZD

And here's the lady herself, Aoife's Mammy Maura checking out Facebook and all the comments people left. She said that her Dad was getting FOMO when he heard the story!
Got into #NaasHospital to see Mam. She’s catching up on her Facebooking. Thanks to all the nursing staff and care staff who made it in to work and were there for the patients. The staff in @Naas are brilliant pic.twitter.com/Xs1qgtNBiG

And here's another neighbour being awesome:
And this was Mark Wright who brought some spuds and butter to my Dad on Fri. I’ve only met Mark and Kathleen once briefly. Parents are going to kill me when they find out they’re all over social media 🙄 pic.twitter.com/BR95Tpb2Ia
