Peter says he was approached many times about a doing a book after he retired but never had any interest, until now.
His wife Anna Gibson-Steel says she wrote the book for their children and to show the character of the man.
Anna told Matt that the idea of the book was inspired by their youngest son Harry, when he saw a clip of Peter scoring a try on YouTube and it was at that point that they realised that he had never seen his father play.
The book tells the story of their life together after meeting at just 14, and Peter's rugby career including the infamous stamp on French lock Olivier Roumat.
