December 2nd is is annual missing persons day in Ireland and it has been revealed that 9,179 people were reported missing in Ireland last year.
Of those, 17 are still unaccounted for.
This means, on average, one person is reported missing every hour of every day in Ireland.
Matt talks to Cliodhna Russell, reporter with the Journal.ie and who has been writing about the issue of missing people in Ireland for a special series for The Journal.
Bob Shanahan also joins Matt to talk about the search for his son Aengus “Gussie” Shanahan who disappeared without trace over 15 years ago.
