These Irish Businesses Have All Taken On Listeners In 'Beat The Business'!

With many businesses trying to get back on their feet, Mairead wants to offer them a chance to advertise on national radio, right here on Today FM.

All they have to do is offer up a prize, and the boss goes head to head with a listener in a pop quiz. If the listener wins, they get the prize. But if the boss wins, they get the air time and they keep the prize!

These are the businesses who have taken part so far:

BROOKE & SHOALS

Alison Banton started Brooke and Shoals in Greystones, Co Wicklow after the last recession. She sells a range of candles, diffusers and body products which are handmade in Ireland and ship around the country and across the UK, Europe and USA too.

CHARLES CAMPING

Charles Camping are a family-run camping shop based in Blessington, Co Wicklow. They sell caravans, tents, camping accessories, hiking gear & clothing - basically everything you would need for the outdoors!

Kitchens 4 U supply kitchens, wardrobes and sliderobes, kitchen accessories and appliances. The showroom in Baldoyle, Co Dublin, is currently closed but the online shop is up and running where you can build your own kitchen!

DUBLIN BARISTA SCHOOL

James McCormack set up the Dublin Barista School during the last recession after he was made redundant - he saw an opening for a world class barista training school. They are based in Dublin's South Anne Street, but offer nationwide classroom courses and online courses - as well as delicious coffee!

REAL ADVENTURES CONNEMARA

Real Adventures Connemara is an outdoor adventure company in Clifden, Connemara and was set up in 2012. It offers sea kayaking, coasteering, paddle boarding, abseiling, surfing and lots more. Last year they opened The Stones Lodge which sleeps up to 30 people B&B.

Tadgh O'Flynn Jewellers is a family-run goldsmiths and jewellers in Nenagh and Ennis set it up 57 years ago. They sell popular brands of jewellery and watches, and Tadgh is a goldsmith and makes a lot of his own jewellery too.
