Fergal D'Arcy has managed to raise a whopping €10,000 during the first day of his Dare To Care campaign.
Fergal and his trusty producer Ed are travelling around Ireland in the shape of a C, from Dublin through Kerry, up to Galway and across to Longford, taking part in dares and taking on 'The Big C' along the way.
After arriving in Kerry Fergal took part in the 'Fastest Barman' race in Waterville, where the town raised €1,200 and he also climbed Ireland's highest mountain, Carrauntoohill in Kerry.
He then kicked off an incredible show on air, where we heard from emotional cancer survivors and service providers.
Fergal managed to raise over €7,000 from text donations alone during his show, the largest amount raised by any Today FM show so far during this campaign!
