This week's Recent 'N' Decent track is a song which marks U2’s first ever visit to India.
U2 will bring The Joshua Tree Tour to Mumbai on the 15th December of this year, and to mark their first visit to India they have released 'Ahimsa'.
The band have teamed up with legendary composer A.R. Rahman for 'Ahimsa'. Rahman is an Indian composer, singer-songwriter, music producer, musician, multi-instrumentalist and philanthropist, and he's best known in the West for composing the score to Danny Boyle’s Slumdog Millionaire.
‘Ahimsa’ is the Sanskrit word for non-violence, and the song celebrates the spiritual diversity of India and connects the ethos of U2 with the mastery of A.R. Rahman.
