It seems that the world's number 1 golfer and one of the world's most loved singer songwriters have a bit of a bromance going on. Ed Sheeran was gigging in the Odyssey Arena in Belfast during the week and Rory McIlroy popped along to say hi and meet the singer before the gig. Ed was the first to tweet about the rendez-vous and even thanked Rory for being so nice to his granny, who Rory reportedly presented with a copy of 'Miracle in Medinah' an account of Europe's triumph at the Ryder Cup 2 years ago.

Rory has been spending some time at home in Co. Down over the past few days and even paid his ex-girlfriend Holly a visit to congratulate her on the arrival of her new baby Max and bring some new Nike booties to him as a gift.
