Cast your mid back to 1983, the year when Super Mario Bros. was first released.
The video game followed a plumber called Mario and his brother Luigi on a quest through 8 worlds in the hope of rescuing the princess.
Nintendos all over the world were working over time to reunite Mario and Princess Peach, who was of course kidnapped by the bad guy, Bowser.
Fast forward to 2019 and Nintendo may have pulled off the greatest stunt of all time.
Yesterday evening it was announced that after 15 years at the helm, Reggie Fils-Aime is stepping down as Nintendo president.
