This week's song was chosen not just because it's brilliant; not just because Chris in Tipp doesn't hear it on the radio as often as he'd like, but because in his words he has 'loved it since he was a boy and last night blew [his] mind'.
The song is Oasis' Don't Look Back In Anger.
Noel Gallagher, who was in with Dermot and Dave yesterday, played to an audience of super-fans in the 3Arena last night. Chris from Tipp was one of them. By all accounts the gig was amazing and Don't Look Back in Anger lifted the roof off the place.
Speaking to Dermot and Dave about writing the song, Noel said 'no thinking went in to it' and that it all 'happened by accident'. He said he wrote the song and 'never gave it a second thought. It was just another song that [he] had written that day'.
But what a song it is!
